'Possible issue' showing on some applications

In the Manage workspace, you may see "Possible issue" in the 'Status' column for one or more applications. This message is a warning that one or more attachments in the application may be causing a problem. Most commonly, it means a PDF may not generate correctly. This can happen if:

  • An attachment is corrupt

  • An upload failed part way through

  • The applicant's internet connection dropped during upload

How to remove the message

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Applications
  2. Select the application name or ID
  3. Select View applicant PDF or View reviewer PDF
  4. If the PDF opens correctly, select Clear issue to remove the message

If the PDF does not open

If the PDF does not load or shows broken pages, one or more attachments are likely causing the issue.

  1. Open the application from Applications
  2. Navigate to all file upload locations
  3. Check both attachment tabs and single file upload fields
  4. Look for files with missing icons, broken thumbnails, or failed previews
  5. Download the file if possible
  6. Delete the attachment
  7. Upload the file again
  8. Recheck the PDF
  9. Select Clear issue once resolved

If the file cannot be re-uploaded successfully, ask the applicant to upload a replacement file.

Good to know

  • The "Possible issue" warning does not always mean the application is broken.
  • If the PDF opens successfully, the application is safe to review.
  • Clearing the issue does not modify the application content.
  • Issues are most commonly caused by corrupted uploads.
