Application resubmission

Resubmission allows grant managers to give selected applicants the ability to update a submitted application outside of a normal application round.

The option to resubmit only appears for applications that have already been submitted. If an applicant completed an eligibility screener, they must recheck eligibility before resubmitting.

Should I use resubmission?

Resubmission is ideal when your application process has multiple stages and only selected applicants should provide additional information. For example, shortlisted applicants are invited to answer extra questions after their initial submission.

Trigger resubmission

Individually

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Applications
  2. Click the overflow menu (three dots) next to the application
  3. Select Require resubmission

In bulk

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Applications
  2. Select the checkbox next to the submitted applications
  3. Open the Action drop-down
  4. Select Require resubmission

Controlling dates

To control when resubmission must be completed, set a Review / resubmission ends date in your application round. If you do not set this date, applicants can resubmit indefinitely.

Notifications

You can notify applicants when their application has been resubmitted by creating a notification with the 'Application resubmitted' trigger. To create this notification:

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Settings > General > Notifications
  2. Click New notification
  3. Choose Application resubmitted from the Trigger drop-down
  4. Add a subject and email body
  5. Use merge fields to include information from the resubmitted application
  6. Click Save

Good to know

  • Only submitted applications can be flagged for resubmission.
  • Applications requiring resubmission can still be reviewed unless reverted to 'In progress'.
  • Applications with custom deadlines cannot be applied to applications flagged for resubmission.
  • Action / resubmission deadlines must be set in your round settings.
