Why can't I re-add the user I deleted?

 

If you deleted on the Users page, this was a soft delete. The user is removed from your list, but their email address remains in Good Grants. Because an email address can only be registered once, the user cannot be added again as a new user. Instead, the user must be undeleted.

Undelete a user

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Users
  2. Open the All but deleted toggle and select Deleted

  3. Select the ellipsis (three dots) next to the user

  4. Select Undelete

  5. Open the Deleted toggle and select All but deleted 

Permanently delete a user

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Users
  2. Click the user’s name
  3. Select Delete this user permanently

Good to know

  • Multiple users can be undeleted in bulk using the Action drop-down.
  • Only permanently deleting a user fully removes their data.
