Can applicants edit submitted applications?

By default, applicants can edit their applications at any time before the application round closes. This includes applications that are in progress or already submitted. If you prefer to prevent edits after submission, you can lock the application form once an applicatoin has been submitted.

Lock applications after submission

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Forms
  2. Click the ellipsis (three dots) associated with your form and choose Form settings
  3. Open the 'Advanced' tab
  4. Select the Form locked when submitted checkbox
  5. Click Save

Once enabled, applicants will no longer be able to edit applications after they have been submitted. If an applicant needs to update a submitted application, a grant manager can return the application to in progress; see Revert an application to 'in progress'.

Good to know

  • By default, applicants can edit applications until the application round closes. If the application round has already closed, you can reopen it via Settings > Applications > Rounds.
  • Changing the round date will reopen the round for all applicants.
  • Locking the form prevents editing only after submission.
  • To allow editing for only one application, configure a custom application deadline; see Ultimate guide to rounds.
