Can applicants submit multiple applications?

By default, Good Grants allows applicants to create and submit unlimited applications. If your program requires limits, you can restrict:

  • The total number of applications per applicant
  • The number of applications per category

These limits can be used independently or together.

Limit the total number of applications

To restrict the total number of applications an applicant can submit across the entire program:

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Forms
  2. Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to a form and choose Form settings
  3. Open the 'Advanced' tab
  4. Enter a value in Maximum applications per applicant
  5. Click Save

This limit applies across all categories combined.

Limit applications per category

You can also restrict how many applications an applicant may submit within a specific category.

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Applications
  2. Click Edit form
  3. Select the category from the drop-down (or click + to create a new one)
  4. Click the category settings icon
  5. Scroll to the 'Advanced' section
  6. Enter a value in Maximum applications per applicant in this category
  7. Click Save

This limit applies only to the selected category.

Copy applications

Applicants and program managers can copy existing applications if the feature is enabled. Copied applications can be useful when applicants want to submit the same content to multiple categories.

For full instructions, see the guide: Copy an application.

Good to know

  • Application limits can be configured per program and per category.
  • Category limits can be used with or without a program-wide limit.
  • Copied applications are always created with the status 'In progress'.
  • Applicants must complete and submit copied applications before they count toward any limits.
