Can I copy applications between seasons and programs?

Grant managers can copy applications between seasons and programs using My Good Grants. This is useful when reusing application data across seasons or migrating applications between accounts.

Copy applications

  1. Access My Good Grants at my.goodgrants.com or click your name (top right) and select My Good Grants
  2. Locate the program you want to copy from
  3. Click the ellipsis (three dots)
  4. Select Copy applications
  5. Choose your Source and Destination programs—when copying between seasons, the source and destination program will be the same
  6. Select the relevant season and category—categories determine where copied applications will be created
  7. Pair fields, mapping how data moves between the source and destination forms
    • Choose Automatically pair fields if both forms use the same structure
    • Manually pair fields if the fields differ
  8. Click Save after mapping fields
  9. Select applications from the list or use filters to search
  10. Tick the checkbox next to each application
  11. Click Copy
  12. Click Confirm to complete the process

You can copy multiple applications at once.

Copy applications within the same program and season

To simply create a copy of an existing application, follow the steps outlined in the Copy an application guide.

Good to know

  • Applications can only be copied between programs in the same region (for example, Europe to Europe).
  • Only users with the grant manager role can copy applications between seasons and programs.
  • If fields differ between seasons, you must manually map fields.
  • If a field shows an X, only one possible match exists.
  • Copied applications are always set to in progress, even if originally submitted.
  • Applicants must review and submit copied applications in the new season.
