What is meant by 'data'?
Data refers to all information associated with your program. This includes user information, applications, review data, and related records. All data is stored in highly secure, encrypted databases.
Where is my data stored?
Your data will be stored in one of five locations:
- Australia (Sydney)
- Canada (Montreal)
- Europe (Frankfurt, Germany)
- Hong Kong
- United Arab Emirates
- United States (Oregon and California)
The data location is selected when a new account is first created on Good Grants.
GDPR and CCPA compliance
Good Grants includes features designed to support compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Examples include:
- Consent options during registration
- User-controlled notification preferences
- Field-level security controls
- User data download for information requests
- Permanent deletion of users on request
Choosing a data storage location
We cannot provide legal advice on where you should store your data. You should confirm your requirements with your legal or IT teams before selecting a data location. All organisations operating in the European Union must comply with GDPR requirements. If your organisation is based outside the EU but collects data from EU residents, storing data in the EU may assist with compliance.
How your data is secured
We manage our own server infrastructure using Amazon Web Services. AWS data centres and network architecture are designed to meet strict global security standards and support highly regulated organisations.
More information on AWS compliance programs is available at https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/programs.
