Moving applications between reviewing stages and selecting winners

Reviewing progress

Once a review stage is nearing completion, you can check your reviewer's progress by going to Reviewing > Progress in the Manage workspace.

Note: if you are on a Premium subscription, you can send an email broadcast to reviewers who are yet to finish reviewing, to remind them to complete their assignments before reviewing closes.

Reviewing results

The leaderboard is where you can find a list of applications and real-time reviewing results for all categories. The default ordering shows the applications from highest to lowest score. You can order the applications by clicking on the title in the table header.

With Good Grants, the criteria for the selection of shortlisted applicants, finalists and winners and even what they are called, is completely flexible. It’s up to you to interpret the reviewing stage results and then apply tags to applications to record the outcome of the reviewing stage. Those tags can then control:

  • Applications that move to another reviewing stage
  • Which applications may appear in galleries
  • Results exports

Apply tags to indicate a reviewing outcome

  1. From the Manage workspace, go to Reviewing > Leaderboard
  2. If you have more than one score set, select score set to review
  3. Filter by category using the search filter
  4. Select the checkboxes on the left of the applications that you want to tag e.g. shortlist/finalist/winner
  5. Click Tag and type in the tag you want to use--if the tag has already been created, select it from the drop-down menu
  6. Click Add tags
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each category or as needed

Progress finalists/shortlisted applications to another stage of reviewing

  1. In the Manage workspace, navigate to Reviewing > Settings > Panels
  2. Create a New panel
  3. In the 'Applications' section, select the tag you just created in the tag box— this step ensures the panel will see only those applications with the specified tag
  4. Configure the other sections of the panel (see: Create a reviewing panel)
  5. Click Save
Important: a score set and reviewing round are needed for every stage of reviewing.
