Field configuration

Fields let you collect information about an application, a user, an attachment, or a contributor. There are four field resources to choose from:

• Form fields: display on the application form
• User fields: display during registration and on a user's profile
• Attachment fields: display with every attachment on an attachments tab
• Contributor fields: display with every contributor on a contributor tab

Depending on the information you need to collect, there are numerous field types available—from checkboxes and drop-downs to multi-line text inputs, URLs, and pre-filled countries lists.

Good to know

• For some field types, once data has been entered via the application form or during registration, the field resource and field type can no longer be changed. These field types are checkbox, checkbox list, content, date, date-time, file upload, and table. You will need to create the field again and delete the original.
