When you begin reviewing, you must link reviewers to applications for evaluation. These reviewer–application pairings are called assignments.
You can view all assignments in the Manage workspace under Reviewing > Settings > Assignments.
This includes assignments created via:
Create assignments using panels
Panels are the most common way to create assignments. A panel determines:
- Who reviews
- Which applications they review
- When reviewing is available
Panels allow you to assign reviewers to applications in bulk, typically by category, chapter, or tag. When you create a panel, assignments are automatically generated.
For full configuration steps, see the guide: Create a reviewing panel.
Create assignments manually
Manual assignments allow you to pair reviewers with applications individually. This method is useful when:
- Only specific applications need assigning
- Exceptions to panel logic are required
See the guide: Manual assignments.
Create assignments using random allocation
Random assignments allow you to:
- Assign a set number of applications per reviewer
- Assign a set number of reviewers per application
This avoids creating pairings manually.
See the guide: Random assignments.
View applications assigned to a specific reviewer
- In the Manage workspace, go to Reviewing > Settings > Assignments
- Click Advanced
- Use the Reviewer filter to select a specific reviewer
- Click Search
The results will show all applications assigned to that reviewer.
Good to know
- Assignments are created automatically when panels are saved.
- Individual assignments created via panels cannot be deleted directly. To remove a panel-based assignment, remove the reviewer from the panel.
- Manual and random assignments can be deleted individually.
