Some applicants didn't get the six digit code. What should I do?

Depending on the user’s email client (such as Outlook, Gmail, or Hotmail) and their security settings (including firewalls and corporate filters), the email containing the six-digit security verification code may be routed to junk or spam folders — or blocked entirely.

As a grant manager, there is no way to force delivery of an email. However, you can take a few steps to assist.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Ask the user to check their junk or spam folder
  2. Ask them to check any social or promotions tabs in their inbox
  3. Recommend they mark app.goodgrants.com as allowed or safe-listed

Good to know

  • Broadcasts and notifications may occasionally be filtered by email providers.
  • Corporate firewalls can block automated emails before they reach the inbox.
  • SMS delivery may be subject to regional regulations—see SMS limitations for more information.
