Can I allow some applicants and not others into a program?
Generally, Good Grants allows users to self-register and participate in a program that is open to all. However, there are two ways to limit applicants that may be applicable in some cases:
- By limiting applicants by email domain—for example, programs internal to an organisation
- Deactivate registration altogether and add users through invite, import, or manual addition
- Set up an eligibility screener to only allow those that meet your criteria to complete an application
Limit registration by email domain
- In the Manage workspace, go to Settings > Users > Registration
- In the registration section, under Registration only accepted from specific email domains, list one or more email domains (the part after the @ symbol)
Note: multiple domains must be on separate lines. - Save
Deactivate registration
- From the Manage workspace, navigate to Settings > Users > Registration
- Uncheck Enable user registration
- Click Save
With the registration form deactivated, only users who are already registered will be able to log in. You will need to manually add your users to your program if you want this level of control. You can do so by importing users from a spreadsheet. For further information about how to import users, see the 'Import users in bulk' section in the Adding users support article.
If you do manually import users into your program, they will not know about it. Inform your users of their account by email; if you are on a Premium plan, you can use the broadcast feature to complete this step.
