Configuring action tasks is only the first step. Once tasks are active, you may need to manage them in different ways—including manually triggering a stage, deleting tasks, reassigning to another user, or resetting decisions.
Manually trigger an action stage
If an action stage is not configured to start automatically on application submission, you can trigger it manually. This is useful when you want to start a review stage at a specific time.
- In the Manage workspace, go to Applications
- Locate the application or applications you want to trigger the action stage for
- Select the checkbox next to each application
- Open the Action drop-down
- Select Initiate action stage
- Choose the correct action stage from the drop-down
- Click Initiate action stage
Delete an action task
Action tasks can be deleted individually or in bulk. This is commonly used to clean up test tasks or remove tasks that are no longer required.
- In the Manage workspace, go to Action flow > Manage tasks
- Select the checkbox next to the task or tasks you want to delete
- Open the Action drop-down
- Select Delete
Reassign an action task
If a task recipient is unable to complete their task, you can reassign it to another user.
- In the Manage workspace, go to Action flow > Manage tasks
- Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to the task you want to reassign
- Select Reassign reviewer
- Choose a new reviewer from the drop-down
- Select a notification to send if required
- Click Reassign reviewer
Reset an action task decision
If a reviewer selects the wrong decision, you can reset the task so it can be completed again.
- In the Manage workspace, go to Action flow > Manage tasks
- Select the checkbox next to the task you want to reset
- Open the Action drop-down
- Select Reset decision
