Can I use the platform without JavaScript?

The short answer is no.

Good Grants relies on JavaScript to deliver an interactive experience and to validate information entered into forms. If JavaScript is disabled or blocked, the platform cannot function correctly.

When JavaScript isn’t available, you’ll see an error message when accessing the platform indicating that JavaScript is required.

Why this happens

There are two common causes.

  • JavaScript is disabled in the browser
    • Some browsers allow JavaScript to be turned off manually or via settings.
    • Solution: enable JavaScript in your browser. See your browser’s help documentation for instructions.
  • JavaScript is blocked by a network
    • Some corporate or institutional networks restrict access to JavaScript files.
    • Solution: contact your network administrator or IT support team and share the error message you see on screen so they can review the restriction.

Good to know

  • Good Grants cannot be used without JavaScript enabled.
  • Disabling JavaScript may also affect form validation, saving, and submission.
  • Network-level blocking is most common on corporate or government networks.
  • Once JavaScript access is restored, no further configuration is required.
