Grant statuses help you track the progress of grant projects after funding has been awarded. They allow grant managers to monitor how many projects are active, how much funding has been received, and whether projects are on track.
Your account comes with three default statuses:
- In progress
- Fully allocated
- Closed
These are fully customisable and additional statuses can be created.
Create a grant status
- In the Manage workspace, go to Grants > Settings > Grant status
- Click New grant status
- Input a title and description
- If desired, select one of the 'Advanced' options:
- Block from reviewing: prevent applications with this status from being shown to reviewers
- Display on leaderboard: allow applications hidden from reviewers to still display on the leaderboard
- Lock fund allocation: prevent further fund allocations where the grant amount has already been fully paid
- Status label to display to applicants: display a custom label to applicants (if no value is provided, the status is hidden)
- Click Save

Good to know
- Applying a grant status moves the application from Applications to Grants > Manage in the Manage workspace. This keeps the applications list focused on incoming applications.
- Grants from the current season can also be viewed by opening the Current drop-down at the top of the page and selecting Grants.
- A 'Grant status changed' notification can be configured to alert a user when a grant status is updated. See the Ultimate guide to notifications for more information.
FAQs
What is the primary use for this feature?
Grant statuses let managers quickly see where successful grantees are in their funding journey. If your program monitors grant performance long-term or allocates funds over time, grant statuses help manage the process. To learn more, see the Fund management overview guide.
Is there a limit on the number of statuses?
No. Your account comes with three default statuses but additional statuses can be created as needed.
Where can I see which grants a user has been given?
The 'Grants' tab in a user's profile displays all of a user's grants. Grants are applications with a grant status applied.
