How do I let my applicants / reviewers download documents?

When configuring your application form, you may need applicants to download supporting documents—for example, guidelines, templates, or resources.

To do this, you can host your file externally and link to it within your program.

Supported hosting options

You can host your document using services such as:

  • Google Docs
  • Dropbox
  • Scribd
  • Your own website
  • Any publicly accessible file hosting service

Add a download link to your program

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Settings > Content > Content blocks (or edit a content block via the form)
  2. Open the desired content block
  3. Highlight the text you want to link
  4. Click the link icon
  5. Paste your document URL
  6. Click Save

Your entrants will now be able to access the document from the content block.

Good to know

  • Documents must be publicly accessible—otherwise entrants will not be able to view them.
  • Test your link in an incognito or private browser window to confirm accessibility.
  • You can place download links in any content block, including instructions within the application form.
  • External hosting is required—files cannot be directly uploaded as downloadable resources within content blocks.
