For GDPR purposes, Good Grants clients (i.e. program owners or managers) are the data controller. The data controller decides how personal data is to be processed. Good Grants, as the data processor, then processes the data for the controller. It is the privacy policy of the data controller that applies to the processing of data.
For convenience, we provide a privacy policy for you but if you wish to add your own policy feel free to configure a 'User agreement' content block. When a user registers for a program, they are required to read the configure agreement within a pop-up window. At the bottom of the pop-up, they can click Read and agreed which will acknowledge their agreement to the terms. To set this up:
- From the Manage workspace, go to Settings > Content > Content blocks
- Click Add content block
- Set the Content location to User agreement
- Set a Title--this will appear as the clickable text for users to view the terms
- Configure the Content--this is the next included in the agreement pop-up
- Click Save when finished
- Next, navigate to Settings > Users > Registration
- Under the 'Agreement to terms' section, click Modify default text
- Input the {user_agreement} merge field where you would like the link to appear
- Once you Save at the bottom of the page
The user agreement will display to registering users as shown below:
