Certificates and badges allow you to recognise participants in your program—either for completing their submissions for for submitting outstanding outstanding applications.
Configure certificates
Certificates can be made available to applicants to download in two ways:
- Through application tags
- Through action flow stages to acknowledge completion
Create a certificate
- In the Manage workspace, go to Reviewing > Settings > Awards
- Click New Award
- Enter a Title
- Under 'Type', select Certificate
- If desired, add tags to link this certificate to specific applications
- (Optional) Upload a Header image and Footer image
- Add your certificate content using the in-app formatting tools and merge fields
- Click Save + preview to see how the certificate will appear to applicants
- Click Save
Good to know
- The title associated with your certificate will be visible to applicants.
- Recommended size for header and footer images is 1200 x 180px. These images are scaled to fit proportionally to fill the PDF width with no margin.
- Certificate contents start below the header image and may overlap with a tall footer image.
Configure badges
Badges can be used to highlight certain applications, such as “Winner” or “Finalist”. These can appear in application lists or galleries and may be displayed as text or images.
Create a badge
- In the Manage workspace, go to Reviewing > Settings > Awards
- Click New award
- Enter a Title
- Under 'Type', select Badge
- Add the tag(s) that determine which applications the badge applies to
- Choose how the badge will be displayed: Text or Image
- Under 'Visibility', select where the badge should appear
- Applicant views to show badges in the Apply workspace
- Score set views to display badges to reviewers in selected score sets
- Add the Badge text—this will be used as alt text for screen readers if an image badge is selected
- Choose the Badge colour (for text badges) or upload a Badge image (for image badges)
- Click Save

Badges in reviewing
When badges are applied to reviewing score sets—including Scoring and Qualifying modes—reviewers can easily filter applications by badge.
Reviewers can:
- Click a badge to view all applications with that badge applied
- Click Advanced in the search bar and select a badge from the Badge drop-down to filter by a specific badge
Good to know
- Applications must be tagged with one or more tags for a badge to appear.
- Image badges can be .jpg, .jpeg, or .png files.
- Recommended size for an image badge is 100 x 100px.
