Assignments and its common uses
What are assignments?
When you're ready to start the reviewing phase of your program, you will need to link reviewers up with applications to evaluate. These reviewer-application pairs are called assignments. You can see a complete list of all assignments in the Manage workspace at Reviewing > Settings > Assignments.
Whenever reviewers are assigned to applications, whether through panels, manual creation, or are randomly generated, an assignment is created.
How to create assignments
Panels
The most common way to create assignments is by creating panels. A panel determines who reviews what categories and when. With panels you can link reviewers to one or more categories. Panels let you pair reviewers with applications in bulk. You can read more about panels in Create a reviewing panel. When you create a panel the reviewing assignments will automatically appear in the Manage workspace at Reviewing > Settings > Assignments.
Manual assignments
Another way to create assignments is by manual assignments. Manual assignments will allow you to pair specific reviewers with specific applications one at a time. Please see Manual assignments to learn more.
Random assignments
Random assignments allow you to simply and efficiently assign a certain number of applications per reviewer or reviewers per applications without creating these assignments manually. Please see Random assignments to learn more.
